Dale Heape Conrad, 83, 1235 Grand St., Denver, died Monday April 23, at the Mont Clair Maynor Nursing Home, Denver, Colo.
Born in Jackson County Aug. 19, 1900, Mrs. Conrad was the daughter of Jeff and Darline (sp) Holliday Heape.
A graduate of the Teachers College at Carbondale (Southern Illinois University) and Millikin University in Decatur, Conrad taught in the Illinois school system for 37 years, with stints at Elkville, Harrisburg and Decatur. She also studied at Chicago, Decatur, Long Beach, CA, and Denver.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Denver, Lambda Tau Delta (a national social and charitable organization) and The Art Club of Denver, where She presented paintings and exhibits.
Survivors are: three brothers, Eugene Heape, DuQuoin, Homer Heape, Murphysboro, and Chester Heape, Long Beach, Ca.;
