Nannie Hudgens Dies In Marion
Mrs. Nannie Hudgens, 88, Rt. 5, Marion, died at 7:15 p.m. Monday at her home.
She was born in Williamson County Feb. 1, 1871. She was married to Charles Hudgens in Marion Nov. 19, 1871. She was a member of the Shiloh Christian Church.
Mrs. Hudgens leaves daughters Mrs. Mack Fergus, Mrs. Parmer White and Mrs. Paul Elliot of Rt. 4, Marion. Mrs. Carl Newton of Independence, MO, Mrs. Edith Russell of Marion and Mrs. Denzil Smothers of Rt. 2, West Frankfort; brothers, Ed and John Gulledge of Marion, 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Mitchell Funeral Home of Marion. The Rev. Hosea Borum and the Rev. Earl Ligon will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
